Leaking faucets – Mold needs moisture to grow, which means that if you have any faucets that are leaking, have them fixed right away!

  • Poor ventilation – Mold tends to be common in bathrooms due to the amount of moisture that gathers here. This shouldn’t be a problem if your bathroom has proper ventilation. The same goes for the kitchen space, which needs proper ventilation to let out the moisture created by steam.
  • Poorly stored garbage – Don’t store your garbage under the sink as this will lead to an increased chance of mold growth.
  • High humidity – If the levels of humidity are too high in your home, then it will be much more conducive to mold growth. Get a whole-house dehumidifier to fix the issue.
