- Durability – The point of a crank radio is that you can use it during an emergency situation, which means that it better be durable. Look for a radio that can not only take a few bumps and drops but that is also water resistant and splash proof.
- Power – Obviously, all crank radios have cranks. But if something happens to the crank, you’ll want a backup plan. Most crank radios are also solar powered. Look for crank radios that have USB ports and take regular batteries as well.
